Jajelup holiday cottage accommodation Albany Denmark Torbay WA

Jajelup holiday cottage

Jajelup cottage was built of stone in 1920, replacing the original wood home which was demolished by white-ants after only 10 years. It has been extended over the last (nearly) 100 years and recently renovated and refurbished. The adjacent stone cottage was once used as a goat dairy and has a history of its own.

The house is perfectly hidden on the farm, with scenic rural views through to Wilsons Inlet and Denmark. Cows and sheep wander happily and often cheeky willy wagtails are seen sitting on the sheep's  heads and backs. The trees around the house are home to many wrens and robins and of course the Australian magpie.

Furnishings for Jajelup have been gathered from all over the world during the owners' travels and postings. A snuggly lounge, Middle Eastern rugs and wall hangings, Asian pottery and comfortable beds make the cottage warm and inviting. Modern whitegoods ensure your comfort and convenience.

The house has two bedrooms and comfortably sleeps four people. One room has a queen bed and the other two singles.  A large kitchen with jarrah work benches and pine dining table, add to the country feel of the place. There is an extensive library available, including games and jigsaws for those who are happy to spend their days relaxing at the farm.
